Former Alcopop stalwarts The Candle Thieves release a new ep this month in the shape of the Happiness Blues EP. Developing the bands canon with another fine set of delightfully english folk tinged pop.
The bands trademark mix of amassed backing vocals, careless whispers of melodies tossed asunder on a gossamer wind of piano fuelled pop and acoustic guitars bustling along to create a four track romp down penny lane.
After years of hard gigging and writing the band are finally starting to see some rewards as the bands unabashed mix of Beatles pop nouse and Syd Barrets odd ball folk pop begins to hit critical mass.
