We dont get many greek artists on the pages of this ere blog (not since Livan indeed waaay back) but one band thats really caught our ear this last week or so have been Athens based band FILM.
Best exemplified by lead off track Berlin, the band have brewed up a sepia soaked sound recalling sleazy nights in darkly lit clubs lined with crushed red velvet - sexy and dangerous as it is sleek and accessible. Theres a level of Mary Chain style danger that surrounds the whole thing and lends a sense of drama reminiscent of the best movie score you've never heard.
Maybe there is something in a name...
