I first fell in love with The Xcerts a few years back by way of a tuneful little bottle rocket called I Hate The Way You Dance - fast forward to 2010 and the band have been carefully refining the noise and sharp corners on their immaculately crafted pop songs to create a juggernaut of power pop tinged alternative rock.
Recent single Slackerpop is the most perfect example of the bands arms in the air emo - showing recent upstarts like the Red Bull funded Twin Atlantic exactly who the best purveyors of this brand of americanised noise really is - a frenetic burst of pure adrenaline funnelled through a fuzzbox for our listening pleasure.
