So it turns out it may well be an actual fact that Iceland may well - per capita - be the music capital of the world with so many bands buzzing around the top of everyones Buzz list right now. While Hjatalin and Olof Arnalds might be topping a lot of peoples rollcalls right now though, Sigur Ros conspiritors Amiina return with a deftly expanded pallete with which to paint their new album "Puzzle".

Blending the bands traditional strings and things set up with washes of polyrhythmic beats and experimental loops and *gasp* more song led structures has worked something of a masterstroke - offering a distinct twist on the melancholic stereotypes that surround Iceland music whilst still holding those influences dear to their hearts.

A genuinely stunning piece of work.
