Back with their first new album in some seven years K's Choice return to the fray with a new double album (Echo Mountain) that evokes a blissful range of melancholic pop and acoustic led folk.
Awash is handclaps and chirpy electric guitars all bumping shoudlers with flourishes of pianos and one or two epic choruses along the way, its a record that touches base with the melancholy of the bands earlier work (see the maudlingly beautiful Almost Happy) while offering a Shins-y shaped vision of an indie pop future.
Unashamedly retro and utterly lovely. Check it out.
