Songwriter Einar Stray manages to pull a neat little trick in being able to take whispers of instruments: delicate strands of violins, mournful cellos, plinking piano chords and the gently tapped percussions yet combining all of them together somehow manages to evoke huge sounding swathes of piano led post rock.
As the piano lines snake around themselves in delicately constructed little patterns, sometimes interplaying with other instruments, occasionally marking its own brave corner out for itself but all the time this "clever" musicianship never loses sight of the songs - resulting in some wonderous moments of beauty - not least this little beauty - Arrows.
